Tea Set Kit Bashing
Blender Model | ADN 492 - Advanced Digital Modeling | Justin Johnson
Advanced Digital Modeling was a project-based special topics class that focused on learning advanced 3D modeling techniques.
For this project, I was tasked with creating an “Afternoon Tea” themed scene using 3D sculpting, hard surface modeling, photogrammetry, and reworking pre-existing models.
The main challenges occurred while using photogrammetry to create the sandwiches and pastries. There were problems throughout the process; particularly when creating the roughness map because the shininess looked different between Substance Painter and Blender. Through a lot of tweaking, trial, and error, I managed to get to a place I was happy with.
This project taught me how and when to use various modeling techniques to get the results I want when modeling.
