Adverse Weather Shelter Render

Contemporary Issues in Art and Design was a primarily lecture based course that focused on current societal and design-based issues.  

For this project, my groupmates and I were tasked with researching a contemporary issue and designing something to address that issue. We focused on the increasing severity of natural disasters such as hurricanes due to global warming and created a durable, portable, waterproof emergency tent for evacuees. For my part of the project, I created a 3D scene illustrating how these tents might be used in evacuation zones.

While the 3D modeling process went rather smoothly, our team initially struggled with meeting deadlines. We worked on this by meeting regularly and creating a structured project timeline, which helped us stay on track during the second half of the project.
